Stonechat
A small chunky, and upright, the stonechat often perches on the tops of bushes or on overhead wires in open spaces. Heathland, upland moors and stretches of grassland with gorse thickets above coastal cliffs are the perfect places. Taken in Cornwall, whilst walking along a coastal path.
Whats In The News
Taken in St Ives Cornwall on a sunny day.
4612 Locomotive
4612 coming into the station at Bodmin Cornwall. Built in 1942
Yellow
I came across these yellow boats, all tied to yellow buoys with tide out in St Ives harbour in Cornwall.
Tide Coming In
Taken in Cornwall on Porth towan beach, and a good place for surfers.
Allium
Purple Allium taken at RHS Wisley Surrey.
Wisley Church Surrey
Wisley church is a interesting example of a mid 12th Century Norman village place of worship. The Black Prince came to Wisley church in 1344/5 and again in 1370 as he had a hunting lodge nearby, his name appears on a list beside the vestry door. It was confirmed by Cardinal Wolsey in 1531 that among the patron shown on the list of Wisley incumbents was the Black Prince.
Cornus Venus
Big white flowers with a hint of pink, they look great with the sun light dancing off them.
Pink Rosa
Taken at RHS Wisley, I like the way the light catches the rose.
