Wray Castle

Wray Castle can be found in the Lake District in Ambleside, and has amazing views across Lake Windermere and the hills. A surgeon and a heiress from Liverpool in 1840 began to build the castle. Today the castle is run by the National Trust.

The climb

I visited The Lake District in Cumbria staying in Keswick back in May 2022. One of my challenges was to climb one of the fells in the lakes. So i decided to climb Skiddaw which is near Keswick height 931 Metres distance 7.5 miles to the top. You climb up the zig zags path on the North East side towards Jenkin Hill once at the gate you turn towards Little Man and then up to the summit of Skiddaw. The photo i’m showing was taken at Little Man Looking over Keswick and Derwent water .
