The look out
The Meerkat is a small mammal belonging to the Mongoose family. Can be found in the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, Namib Desert in Namibia and South Africa. They often stand on their rear legs and gaze alertly over the southern African plains. A few from the group will serve as lookouts watching the skies for birds of prey, which will snatch them from the ground.

The Rooster
This is a Brakel Chicken. It dates back to 1416, where it is mentioned as a successful poultry breed of the Brakel region of Belgium.
