Top of Cat Bells Cumdria

This is my view from Cat Bells one of the fells in Cumbria Lake District, it took 2.5 hours to climb and scramble up.

Tatton Place

historic estate in Cheshire England in 1580 the estate was bought by Thomas Egerton, Lord Chancellor of England. In 17th Century  John Egerton the grandson who built a new house on the estate. The estate remained in the ownership of the Egerton family until the last Lord Egerton died in 1958. The estate is now run by the National Trust showing it deer park ,Japanese garden and gardens and Tudor Hall plus more

Castlerigg Stone Circle Keswick Cumbria

This is one of the oldest Stone Circle to be found in Britain dating back to 4000 or 5000 years ago Neolithic period and was a religious and social gatherings, or even an astronomical observatory with the stones being aligned to the sun moon and stars.

 

Shap Abbey Cumbria

The Abbey was founded in 12th Century standing by the river Lowther it is one of the32 religious houses in Britain belonging to the Premonstratensian order of Canons. Today the impressive 15th Century tower and other remain can be explored.
