Geevor tin mine is in Cornwall between the villages of Pendeen and Trewellard. The mine was operational between 1911-1990 during which time the mine produced around 50,000 tons of black tin. The mine now is a Tourist attraction where you can walk through buildings see original machinery, go underground a tour into Wheal Mexico, an 18th Century mine. There is also a shop and café that overlooks the Atlantic ocean.
