  1. Thank you Simon for the “likes” – in spite of the imperfections. Great Moray Firth shot. Somehow I find more beauty in a bare mountain landscape than in the more “picturesque” woods, streams, and meadows. I lived in Ireland for many years before moving to NZ and was captivated by the rugged beauty of the West, particularly North and West Donegal. You should go there sometime. Somehow such country is much harder to photograph successfully. Des.

  2. it’s an area I know slightly. The coastline has a stark beauty about it, with the houses crammed into the smallest of areas, I like the detail that the houses face gable end towards the sea, the better to withstand the storms.
