Street Photography

DSC_0032-Small02JPegFirst time I taken people on the streets, found it a bit difficult to point a camera at someone you don’t know. But I just love the way he sat there cross legs, with the glasses and hat.

  1. Yeah, it’s a bit disconcerting, isn’t it? Especially if they realise they are being photographed and suddenly turn to look in your direction. Some smile, some scowl.
Takes a bit of getting used to that’s for sure.
    Nice photograph

  2. Nice shot. I tend to hide behind a long lens so people are unaware. Quite often people ask me to take their photo when they see the camera, that’s always fun. It’s great fun to photograph people, look forward to seeing more of your street shots.

  3. I feel the same also, but if the shot you wish to have brings value to you, just ask. A bit intimidating though, but worth the effort. Good luck.

  4. The more you take, the less you worry, but I also use a long lens, and aim for near to the subject and then crop if I have too. But I love it now, you kind of get hooked and then you are watching all the time for a shot……this is a lovely one 🙂

  5. Hi Well done. But yes I find the same. Is it an invasion of privacy? Maybe. However I do find there are people who dress specifically to draw attention to themselves and they don’t mind. London is the most photographed city in the world and on every street corner is CCTV. Having said that I don’t think I would like a camera thrust in my face!
