Spynie Castle

Spynie Castle, also known as Spynie Palace, was the fortified seat of the Bishops of Moray for around 500 years. The castle dates back to the 12th Century. The castle can be found near Lossiemouth on the A 941 from Elgin Scotland.

  1. I was at Spynie Castle last summer and loved it – the interior of the keep, with the the birds roosting in the derelict windows and the ‘hanging’ fireplaces – wonderful place, lovely picture.
