Guineafowl

Guineafowl

In the UK they were usually know as Gleanies. The young are called Keets. They feeded on lice, worms, ants, spiders and weedseed. A cooked guineafowl flesh resembles that of a chicken and the meat is dark, which makes the carcass the foundation to rich and flaverful stock.
