Stand By For Take Off

Stand By For Take Off

The supermarine spitfire, is a British single seater fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. I took the photo at Goodwood Air field, in West Sussex. Goodwood Air Field was used by the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britian.

  1. Beautiful pic. My dad was in the RAF, a technician, and worked on the Valiant, Canberra, and Vulcan bomber.
We were stationed all over the pace when I was a kid, but the St. Athan air base in South Wales holds the best memories, especially for aircraft!
