The supermarine spitfire, is a British single seater fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. I took the photo at Goodwood Air field, in West Sussex. Goodwood Air Field was used by the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britian.
Nice, what a beautiful aircraft!
Beautiful pic. My dad was in the RAF, a technician, and worked on the Valiant, Canberra, and Vulcan bomber.
We were stationed all over the pace when I was a kid, but the St. Athan air base in South Wales holds the best memories, especially for aircraft!
It’s so good to see some of the old aircraft being maintained. Great shot!
The most beautiful warbird ever !!!!
Always liked the graceful Spitfire. Used to do a lot of aircraft photography here in the states, but never saw one fly here. Only saw one sitting on the flight line. Nice Shot!
nice shot of such an iconic plane
A nice shot of a Spitfire. I believe that it is a Mk IX, but I could be wrong. Thanks for posting it.
This is really the most beautiful warbird ever.
